PREMATURE CLOSING A fond fetch farewell to Mean Girls on Broadway as they will sadly not be returning to Broadway following the shutdown.
The musical, with a book by Fey, music by Jeff Richmond, lyrics by Nell Benjamin and direction and choreography by Casey Nicholaw, opened on Broadway in 2018 and grossed $124 million by the time it close in March. Plans to adapt it for a new Paramount Pictures film version were announced previously. At the time of the musical’s final performance on March 11, it had played 805 performances and 29 previews at Broadway’s August Wilson Theatre. Prior to its opening on April 8, 2018, Mean Girls had made its five-week world premiere run in 2017 at the National Theatre in Washington D.C.A North American tour launched in 2019, with plans to resume this summer or as soon as Covid restrictions are lifted. We’re sad to see it go but we totes loved assisting with campaigns and hope to work with the National Tour! Strange times call for Stranger Things! Being big fans of Dungeons & Dragons in the 80s and having a sweet tooth sure paid off for us (see Mom, we told ya!)!
We teamed up with Stranger Things Drive-Into Experience presented by Netflix & Fever with Secret Cinema in Downtown L.A. which transports visitors through the dimensions and back in time! Cruise through the drive-into and you’ll emerge in the 80s, in the small sleepy town of Hawkins, Indiana. But before you follow Eleven and the gang on their journey through hidden Russian labs and into the Upside Down, you’ll need to stock up on some snacks for the road. Gotta keep those energy levels up for this adventure! While you’re hunting Demogorgons, why not hunt down some Sour Patch Kids? Turns out the Stranger Things crew aren’t the only kids you’ve got to look out for down in Hawkins. You’ve also got to keep an eye out for Sour Patch Kids! Sour then sweet and mouthwateringly tasty, these delicious candy treats are the perfect snack to keep you going on your adventures into the strange(r) unknown. Sour Patch Kids candy will be available on the Starcourt Mall food menu and you’ll be able to order them directly to your car. Get ‘em before they’re gone! #strangerthingsdriveinto #strangerthings #netflix #secretla #secretcinema #california #social #losangeles #la #dtla #losangeleslife |
